Be Your Best You

bebestyou8

I have two new products in my shop today. One is the digital download of this sign, Be Your Best You, and the other is an embellished canvas of this sign.

I love this message, especially in a world where my kids (and myself!) are bombarded by all sorts of negative images and are always trying to be convinced to be just like someone else. I want them to be them, which is the best version of themselves, so I guess the more reinforcement they receive of this idea, maybe the more likelihood it will become a reality.

I am going to show you how to make a pretty-fied version of this instant download. After you download the image, I suggest you print it on a heavy white card stock. Next trim each side so all of the white is removed.

I took a sharpie and colored the edges to ensure no white was showing through. I trimmed some scrapbook paper — one red patterned and one solid brown — at about 8.5 x 8.5 and 9 x 9.

I layered them using adhesive, leaving a slight border around each layer.

Next, I took a few paper flower embellishments I had in my stash and glued them to the bottom of the image. You can use anything as an embellishments — wood veneers, hearts, stickers.

I used red washi tape to attach this to my refrigerator. I have noticed it is a topic of conversation when the kids are eating breakfast, so it may be making a subliminal impact!

Don’t forget to visit my shop to purchase the instant download. This image can be resized for a variety of uses…in planners, in lunch boxes or in scrapbooks and project life binders. You can print your purchased image an unlimited amount of times, so the world is definitely your oyster!

Till next time!
